Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is a condition where there's a sudden reduction in blood flow to the heart muscle, often due to a blockage in a coronary artery. This can lead to heart attack (myocardial infarction) or unstable angina. Symptoms include chest pain, shortness of breath, and sometimes nausea or sweating.
